Japan Stronk ! After some research (history books, Google), i think I can safely say that Imperial Japan is the only country who directly attacked the USA after 1812.

I may be wrong but if I remember correctly the Imperial Japan, declared war to the USA, 4 hours after Pearl Harbor while saying out loud "We did Pearl Harbor ! Fuck you !" <--- Not historical.

We know the rest, but most of the people probably don't know that American Japanese (immigrant), we're put in "Education camps" (if i remember that name correctly), by the US government, they even had list of Japanese immigrants, years before Pearl Harbor.

(Personal Opinion: You don't cut oil supply to a country who desperately need it, and think you can go without a scratch.)

In my humble opinion, I think that at this time, the American were not so different to the German

They executed Communist member like the German, and people they judge "not-welcome".

We can also talk about the banks (Goldman, Sacch), who made million on deported Jews by the german, (23 million if i remember well).

But we must remember: If the history isn't learned, the history is doomed to repeat.

Yes, in fact.

Japan is the only NATION to have successfully directly attacked the United States.

al-Quida is the only TERRORIST GROUP to ever directly attack the United States.

That's typically where a lot of people will mistakingly state that the 9-11 attacks on the US were conducted by a middle east nation. al-Quida isn't a nation. It's a terrorist group much like ISIS.

As for the British-American war, that was considered as more as a civil war since during that time, Americans were technically defected British colonists (hence why the 13 original colonies were called New England).

What about the war of 1812? When the British burnt down the White House?

That could be considered as one or it could be considered as a protest.

Yes, it did in fact.

It was the first war to ever feature air planes as a war machine.

However, Mexico did not directly attack the US. The US was there to take out a leader, I believe.

Pancho Villa's raid on Columbus, New Mexico in 1916? Whether or not this is a "nation" attacking or a "warring faction" is debatable.
