Charles Harrelson (July 23, 1938 – March 15, 2007) was an American organized crime figure who was convicted of assassinating two people, including federal judge John H. Wood, Jr., the first federal judge killed in the 20th century.

Harrelson was first tried for the 1968 murder of Alan Harry Berg and was acquitted. Next, he was convicted for the 1968 killing of Sam Degelia, Jr., for which he was paid $2000. In 1978, after serving 5 years, he was released early for good behavior. Shortly after he was paroled he killed Judge John H. Wood, Jr. after being hired by drug dealer Jamiel Chagra who was scheduled to appear before the judge on the day of his murder.
