I don't have time to go hunting and I no longer live near mountains where the hunting is more enjoyable. The deer down in the far south are not very big and if I want venison I can just shoot one from the front porch in the evening which isn't exactly hunting but more like harvesting.
Understandable. If that was my situation id definitely still be taking front porch deer, venison > beef. I could shoot deer from my living room window if i wanted to, but i moved out here to the mountains specifically to be in a great area to hunt. Public land everywhere. Whitetails, muleys, elk, moose and the whole assortment of predators. Too many predators really.

We take one every now and again but we raise rabbit, chicken, turkey, goat and have a large stocked pond so we have a sustainable meat supply.
