We know that dreams exist in the mind and appear real to the observer, so from that we can recognize that our organs of perception merely contribute to our perception of the world but are not the source of our experience. What we perceive is not reality as it appears to our sense apparatus but instead a series of illusions and adaptations that affect our emotional and cognitive processes for our survival and reproduction.

That's a big one, but I don't know the name of it.
