No, because we have much better communications and it takes just moments for a doctor in an african shit hole to notify the doctors and epidemiologists in good countries if they have a patient with ebola or whatever.

Governments, in particular the USA, have already been working on weaponizing the different strains of flu which they're doing because they say they want to learn how to make a cure. They're pretty good about keeping that shit locked down but I have my fingers crossed that either nature finds a way or someone working with those viruses intentionally makes them self patient zero, quits their job and goes on a world tour.
We need a new plague to thin the herd.
