A co-worker of mine had been smoking cigarettes for 35+ years. It was really starting to affect his health, and he tried to quit numerous times unsuccessfully using patches, nicotine gum, and even prescription drugs like Chantix. Nothing seemed to work for him.
About 6 months ago, he bought this big bulky vaping device- I'm not sure what kind or anything, but within a week he was cigarette-free. After 3 months, he was using a very low nicotine fluid in the device. Last month, he went down to a nicotine-free liquid.
On Friday, he says he hasn't used the vaporizer for about a week. Nobody at work has seen him using it or smoking cigarettes, so I have no reason not to believe him.
The point I'm getting at is- you should quit smoking, and this seems to be a very effective way to do it. Doctors will tell you that it's harder to kick a nicotine habit than it is to kick a fucking heroin habit; so if you can kick it by spending about $300 over the course of 6 months, isn't it worth a shot? Ultimately, your body is the only thing that truly belongs to you, and will always belong to you- TREAT IT WELL.
