And the admins gave the the mods an ultimatum. The ones that didn't want to play ball were removed. The admins took the sub over. The worst backlash came when the sub went private for a day. Thus, the admins want it open because it serves their needs.

it isn't. if it were, it wouldn't be where reddit's advertising segment says it has millions of followers, while their social statistics and voting power says it has a mere fraction of that. if it were of the opposition camp, they'd be milking it for everything its worth. but they don't. 'cause "they" (conde naste) intensely hates that subreddit with a passion (because it isn't the cucked to fucked clinton regime any more).

Reddit allows it to exist. They've banned communities for less. If they weren't benefiting from it, it would be gone.
