Level 3 stops .556 and 7.62, and I doubt many people are going to be carrying armor piercing.

But I do agree, that's why I have 3+

There are videos of AR500 Armor's level 3 plates letting a M193 round pass though. M193 is the bare minimum 5.56 rifle round that this armor should stop.

Level 3 steel plates will let M193 through because it's moving so fast but will easily stop M855. Meanwhile the level 3 polymer armor will stop M193 but M855 will go through. That's why you should get level 3+ or wait for the rumored updated ratings that should be coming out this year.

.556 Level 3 does not stop '5.56' at it's full velocity. It will punch straight through - go to youtube. It will stop 7.62 because it's a slower round.
