Right, and isn't there a cutoff for when you can file to run in each state? That's long past. I think it's a forfeit.

it's not a forfeit, there are provisions if a candidate is unable to continue:

The Democratic Party’s Rule F states:

In the event of death, resignation or disability of a nominee of the Party for President or Vice President after the adjournment of the National Convention, the National Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee shall confer with the Democratic leadership of the United States Congress and the Democratic Governors Association and shall report to the Democratic National Committee, which is authorized to fill the vacancy or vacancies

what happens to the ballots (early and mail in) for Joe? it's a bit murky, but near as I can tell, they cannot be reassigned to the DNC's replacement candidate, nor do the voter get a chance to re-vote.

Wow!!!

Why would they forfeit? That is an automatic loss.

What if something happened to JB? If that happened they would not have to forfeit.

What a movie!

What really ticks me off is I just ran out of popcorn!!!

Got to go to the supermarket, where's my useless mask!

Putting Biden/Harris up as candidates is/was a de facto forfeit.

There was not ever any reasonable expectation of victory for the Democrats -- only the outside chance of taking (stealing) the election. Biden and Harris are sacrificial offerings.

IF the [D] party changes the candidates, there is no rational way to consider the early votes that have already been cast for the original candidates as being valid.

The main characteristic of 'Socialism' is perpetual unrest. Those who want to usher in a New Age of Communism in the US of A are using (or being used by) one of the main tools of revolution/transition -- violent unrest.

I have always suspected that we would see military intervention before we see any rebirth of The Constitutional Republic. My suspicions grow with this kind of 'chatter'.

Best wishes to all.
