The true word of God comes to me without a Bible.

The original texts of the Bible were written in Hebrew. Do you read Hebrew? There are various translations for each word. Are you certain that you can interpret it properly, even if you can read the language?

It's far easier and far more natural and far more enriching to connect with God directly than through a book that was written for times past when humans were far less aware or understanding of things. The Bible is outdated.

God left His Word with us in a proper translation of original texts. The original Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek for the bulk of the New Testament. These languages are taught in seminaries that train pastors. Men educated in these languages have spent their lives, some, at the expense of their lives, to have God’s Good News in their contemporary language. Those translations that stray from true scripture are called out for the heresy they are.

The religion you are advocating is man created like every other failed religion in world history. True scripture shows mankind how God has reached out to them to have a relationship with Him, rather than a “religion “ created by man.

Who kept the word of God before it was written down? Or does God write in Hebrew? If he does, then why are we not all writing and talking in Hebrew if it's the natural language of our creator? Why is it not hard-coded into us? Did the first humans that crawled out of the last ice age to build the first civilization in Sumeria in 5000 BC speak Hebrew? How do you account for their totally non-Hebrew origins? Didn't they appear long before the world was supposedly created by your god? Science shows us that they did. I'll believe the trusted logic of science over your fantasy-laden ancient beliefs any day.

And while we're on the subject of the Bible, what about the Old Testament (the Jewish Torah)? Was it the same god that wrote that, or a different one? And whether or not it was the same god, how do you account for there being more than one god? Are you saying that the Jews are wrong? Wouldn't that be anti-Semitism?

The religion you are advocating is man created like every other failed religion in world history.

Where did I advocate any sort of religion? Is science a religion? Is logic a religion? Is spirituality a religion?

Are my beliefs wrong because yours are more established as a religion? Or is there something more that is the deciding factor? What is that deciding factor?
