I think the math on this one is pretty simple. If the Repubs want to retain control of the Senate, they need to confirm a new SCOTUS Justice. If they fail to do so, I'm pretty sure the Senate will flip and we'll all be screwed for the rest of our lives... especially if the House remains in control of the D's.
Another poster correctly commented the reason the Senate wouldn't consider Oblowme's lame duck nomination is because We the People flipped the Senate to R's in an effort to stop Odunga from causing more harm to our country. At the time, the upcoming election (2016) was more of a public excuse to NOT entertain a vote on the SCOTUS nominee.
DJT has shown that he will do what is best for our country and THIS Senate NEEDS to support him.

Didn't say anywhere he would vote yes on the nomination. So this isn't a vote for the nomination. He can still vote no. Wake up to this jerk people. He isn't a republican vote for the nominee.
Same can be said for Collins and Murkowski. They didn't say they wouldn't vote. They said they didn't think the Senate should hold a vote. But Mitch will so will they vote yea or na? I say they do vote yes. But I think Mitt will fuck us. He's too deep in Ukraine to stop IMO.
I agree. I wish I knew where I read about voting ‘present’. If some senators vote present then they do not need the majority (51) to confirm. ?? I think Murkowski voted present on Kavanaugh. I’ll have to go look for the article I read . .
