I have a question since the china virus is in the same family as a common cold/ flu how are the able to come up with a vaccine for it? The flu vaccine only works about 35% of the time.

Flu is influenca virus, that virus can mutate fast enough to evade acquired immunity (acquired by fighting the virus or by vaccination).

Common cold is coronavirus. SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV were warning shots, after that scientists try to develop vaccines against coronavirus. Or more contagious coronavirus, or both - depending on who you ask.

Thanks Rikki6 - I'm going to post the full message because it needs to get out and it might disappear. Dr Mercola is an old favorite of mine.

"REMSDESIVIR Tests Stopped Due To Side Effects: Kidney Failure

Dr. Mercola July 24, 2020

In the latest Remdesivir trial, four of the five patients developed major side effects, including kidney failure.

The NIH has brought together a panel of experts to make treatment recommendations, eight of whom have accepted research support or consulting fees from Gilead, the manufacturer of Remdesivir.

Research data have not supported the use of Remdesivir, which the company has priced at $3,100 for a course of treatment.

(Anon had read that it costs $9 to manufacture)

Notice POTUS said nothing negative about Remdesivir in his recent presser. He knows everything, but why make waves when the science will remove the obstacle?? So that's the end of that. And Fauci has a big financial interest in it, I believe. Too bad, Fauci. BTW, I could throw a better first pitch than he!!

I seem to remember the initial tests of Remdesivir saying that it was only used in the worst cases, which were already on ventilators. The reported percentage of recoveries over deaths was incredibly low---about 4% if I recall correctly. That must be within the margin of error for these tests. There were also questionable methods used in the testing.

I thought at the time that it wasn't worth noting because the test results were so terrible that nobody would ever recommend it or use it.

Now we have certain government and hospital authorities restricting the availability and use of HCO, and some recommending and using Remdesivir. (???)

Please correct me if I'm not remembering all of it right, as I said I quit paying attention to it after reading the test results....

P.S. #Obamagate

Your memory serves you well. They stopped the first study when they could "proof" that you can save one life by giving Remdesivir to 20-30 patients.

Remdesivir can reduce the virus load, but that must be done early after the infection, when the person is still symptom free. Remdesivir is way too expensive to give it to people without symptoms. HCQ and Ivermectin do the trick.

So the TESTS stopped - does that mean the CDC won't STILL PUSH IT?? It costs too much to not be used!

No one should be surprised by this, it was never about the virus.
