Safety glasses for lasers are made for specific wavelengths. One pair is not effective for all wavelengths. Plus some wavelengths just out of the visible range can still damage your eyes.

So I understand.

If on the front lines of asymmetrical culture war, I would opt for some protection, even if was known to be imperfect protection.

I offered up in that spirit.

I'm thinking a helmet with a multi spectrum camera mounted, and a something like a VR screen inside the blacked out face shield. I'm sure by now they must have something like that tested and ready for deployment, IR vision aids on combat helmets are so last war fashion.
