Bacteria (pathogenic and non-pathogenic) and viruses are 'resident'/present in the nasal cavity (i.e. vestibule) and nasopharynx of every person ... healthy or not. The mucosa of the nose and mouth provide defense against pathogens.

IOW, the mere presence of potentially harmful bacterium or virus in that mucosa DOES NOT indicate 'infection'.

Bingo. That’s why PCR tests are vague at best. It may indicate the presence of a pathogen but it can’t tell how much there is in the body or if the person is even affected by it. It’s unwashed data that can be used to manipulate and skew anything you want.

Indeed. There are lies, and there are damned lies ... and then there are statistics.
