I have a unique perspective on this. I am a hunter and often go into the woods before dawn. All is quiet and still until about daybreak. At first light, the birds begin to sing. It's very cool to be out there in total darkness, completely silent and then listen to birds as the sun rises.

...and then all the squirrels start in on your bait pile making a heck of a racket.
Useless freeloaders. Fluffy tailed rats. Commie bastards.
