International soccer has become a joke cos of migration. Many French did not support their 1998 World Cup winning side as they were viewed as too Algerian. Fast forward to their 2018 success and it was a sub Saharan African squad with no real links to France beyond their jersey. In 2014 there was a bizarre situation when Germany faced Ghana, with one brother each from the Boatang family playing for each nation. In the lead up to the 2018 World Cup “German” star Mezut Ozil was pictured with Turkish leader Erdogan along with a Turkish flag; he’s since had to retire from international football due to questions over loyalty, but there are plenty of other Turks playing in Germany whose loyalty could be questioned if they were drawn against Turkey. The Spaniards are the only decent, somewhat native nation left in football really, but they’re all on drugs and hate each other based on internal politics.
