But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Unfortunately 2/3's of each House is guilty of insurrection or treason.

That's what I said...how are they going to get a 2/3 vote in each house?

The ones that are left can vote.

The 2/3 vote is not to convict one of them, it to remove one of them from charges.

They're a bit like cats; more votes instead of lives and indifferent to everyone else.

You only need a corum of about 12 people to hold a vote.

IMO, ten years is a little light for a maximum sentence. Although if multiple counts were run consecutively it might be OK.

Back in the day, 10 years was like 1/4 of your lifespan.

Good point.

And I'm sure additional charges they may face now carry heavier sentencing guidelines.

Wouldn't these charges include bailing out Antifa criminals, Sleepy Joe??

These laws will only be punishable after Antifa was officially recognized as a terrorist organization that threatens the government of the US. If support is continued after such a designation is made, then they are guilty of aiding and abetting a terrorist organization.

There may be something else at work here as well. Many are going to start severing ties with Antifa pretty quick to cover their own butts. They realize that connections are enough to cause many to have their ties examined very closely. A great pretext for looking into all kinds of dealings. It will be interesting to see where it all leads and what is turned up. Moving Antifa from the classification of a political organization to a terrorist group is huge.

I am sure there is a lot of bleach bitting, hammer smashing, paper shredding and burning going on right now. But oops, too late - we have it all. The problem is usually never the actual crimes committed, but the coverup that follows.

There's two ways it can go - it could go like you said, or they could decide they have the numbers and support to stage a successful coup. Criminalizing Antifa is a huge blow to them with a lot of future repercussions, and they might decide their best time is now, while their base is all riled up, and to go all in with the hand they currently have. That's how huge these events are.

Either way I think the timing is good. I've been saying for a long time that whenever things kick off, whichever side has the Commander in Chief in their corner is going to have a huge advantage. Most of the armed forces are going to obey whoever the POTUS is at the time.

Nothing in the insurrection laws requires a terrorist designation on Antifa. An insurrection is an insurrection - regardless of the designation put on it. However, labeling them terrorists and still supporting them will mean supporting or giving aid to an enemy of the United States and, therefore, will now move to treason.

Heh, yep. He's so far into it, "at this point what difference does it make?" What's a few more charges? We can only hang him once.

If this were followed to the letter of the law, most of the Demtard party and some RINOs would be ineligible to run for office ever again. The problem is that so many from both parties are criminals. The Demtards we know are colluding in this mayhem. With their silence, they are giving tacit support to Antifa and others. A vote for a Demtard in Nov is a vote for the dismantling of our Republic.
