From Just the News:
Former White House Chief of Staff and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said that pastors need to stop being gun shy when talking about politics at the pulpit.
"Our churches cannot be, you know, vanilla ice cream and cotton candy on Sunday morning. We have to challenge our congregations and challenge them with a very least participate in the process," Priebus told David Brody.
Priebus joined Brody on The Pod's Honest Truth and Chad Connelly, the former chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party and head of the group Faith Wins, an organization dedicated to getting faith leaders encourage congregations vote with Biblical values in mind.
In 2013, Priebus, then RNC chair, tapped Connelly to serve as the group’s first-ever director of faith engagement. Priebus and Connelly have joined forces once again to mobilize some 10,000 churches around the country about the importance of their involvement in the public arena.
Pastors have walked a fine line between offering pastoral leadership and harsh criticism when talking about politics. Since 1954, the Johnson Amendment has banned non-profit organizations and churches from supporting political candidates, which President Trump opposes.
Priebus, part of the president's larger faith-based outreach efforts in Trump's re-election campaign, said that shouldn't stop religious leaders from -- at a minimum -- being involved in the political process.

The churches where i live in the UK are mostly praising and thanking the Lord and not very much at all about testifying or prophesying.
I have never really heard any sort of political comment from the pulpit at all, any vicar that does that would incur the wrath of their bishop, never mind what the press would say.
The Church of England has seats in Parliament so there is no separation of church and state as there is the USA, I wish there could be.
My deep respects to you all across the pond, may the Lord bless you all and especially bless your president.

Years back, then US President Johnson (1963 - 1969) placed a restriction on churches - that if they were political - they would lose their tax free status.
I know of no church that I have attendended that spoke about the End Times or spiritual warfare. Things we need to know today.
As with your churches, services were mostly about praise - as well as - in the US study of almost all the Bible books except for Revelation. We are taught to forgive and forget, but not what Satan plans to do with our children. For those who don't believe in God, these same people don't realize that those who they respect actively believe in Satan.
Shame US churches thought more about losing their "tax free status" then teaching the power, lies & manipulation of Satan.
I suspect the Church of England is another DS member as is the Catholic church. I feel the churches have let down the population & as such have contributed to the current globilest state impacting all the world.
We have deep respect for the people in Great Britain who have overcome all the finances of George Soros' manipulation & corrupt voting booths, control of the EU, lack of Teresa May not following the will of the people, and to the current London mayor who seems to be a clone of the mayor of New York City.
You have overcome a lot. I keep Tommy Robinson in pray as well as Julian Assange.
The US and the world are blessed to have President Trump.
God bless you and all your loved ones.

This is good advice except when church's became beholden to the government with their 501c3 status they gave up their right to talk politics from the pulpit. This is why Mark Taylor encourages churches to get away from the 501c3s and form home churches. It's funny but certain liberal churches (ie. Rev Wright) have been pretty vocal from the pulpit but that doesn't seem to work for more mainstream evangelicals. It's the old "rules for thee, not for me" that dictates the left's behavior...as usual.

From his lips to God's ears. Come on shepherds get off your ass and make a stand from the pulpit.
