They wanted geniuses so made some kind of test then adapted it to suit younger people. When they tested something like 1500 kids at the age of 5, some 98% were found to be genius. At the age of ten - after five years of school - the same kids were tested and the % of geniuses dropped to somewhere around the 40% level. When the tests were conducted on the kids again at age 15, the number of geniuses fell to below 10%.
