How is the market a fraud? Everyone knows exactly what they are exchanging.

Agreed. That's why I prefer the term "manipulated". Large players (governments, central bankers, large hedge funds) can manipulate the markets. Using the casino analogy, they're the "House". Not a fraud, the House always win.

You are talking about normative economics and price floors. The house might win in the short term but the invisible hand will always find a way around. This is one of the basic principles of why Socialism can never work.

Except they don't. The large traders constantly manipulate and fraudulently control the markets. This is why, for example, Goldman sacks, and others, were telling everyone to buy while they were themselves shorting the market.

If everyone knew what to expect, that would be impossible. Ignoring the fact it's criminal.

If anyone thinks fraud is not the correct word, they don't really understand what's going on.
