We are looking at 40% of the population being infected if the control measures do not work. Could be double that if things go really badly. The 2% mortality is possibly low because we do not know the full story yet. Many people who are sick will still die, but have not yet been categorised as such yet. Even if things go well the use of resources will be very high, so people who would normally not die will do so since they will not be able to get into hospital, will not get rescue services, or fire services.

If control measures go badly we are looking at upto 2% of the whole population dying. This is, obviously most unlikely in the USA but a number for you to work with. If all goes well and there is a lot of luck the mortality could be as low as a very bad 'Flu season. Remember that there is already a very bad 'Flu season in progress so it will be a bad year for many people.

Take control of your own safety. Learn how to protect yourselves and do so very, very carefully until the pandemic burns itself out. This is not a hoax so get the knowledge and use it.
