This reminds me of the British Edwardians who thought they were above the law. There is a historical fact that I can quote of a British Navy Captain, son of privelaged nobility, mortally laying on the deck of his ship where he thought all British tars were imbiciles and savages, cried as he died "I'm supposed to be a Sea Lord. My mama told me," he whimpered.
