I agree with alot of that. My husband always had the money job and I always had the shit job that had flexible hours. We worked opposite shifts when our kids were young so we were the ones there with them. It was tough and a huge sacrifice, but we had kids to raise them, not for someone else to do it.

The offset shifts is a blessing to those that have that option.

We agreed when we had kids that we had them for US to raise. Nobody else would do the same job we would. It wasn't easy. We didn't see a lot of each other for a few years, but kids are only little once.
