Justice is good even if it takes a long time.
What is notable is that the crime is heinous and the time duration for justice to succeed.
From the article,
"Alfaro was charged on October 24, 2011 by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with the rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, and other related offenses."
it took President Trump and his administration's increased attention to prosecute crime against children for this fugitive to be extradited from El Salvador, imho.
Again, from the article:
"United States Government’s “Project Welcome Home,” which provides funding to assist in the transportation of federal fugitives to the United States, where the repatriation by the host country occurs through deportation or extradition.
The FBI continues to work with local law enforcement to apprehend violent criminals charged with state crimes who then flee the jurisdiction interstate or internationally. Photos and descriptions of many fugitives wanted by the FBI can be found at www.fbi.gov."
The article says that the FBI will likely dismiss the warrant for the unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, but that Alfaro will be held to await prosecution on the state child rape and related charges by the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office.
