Yay - they are waking up! And once awakened, they become a force. I used to be a Dem. I KNOW --- once you start to see how you've been played, you get really really really pissed. So one awakened Dem can equal 10 long time conservatives. Welcome them home!
Tim Pool said something though, at least I think he did, "Everyone wants medicare for all in some form." WHY?! NO! No, we don't! Medicare sucks! Private healthcare, when you are allowed to set up a medical savings account (MSA) is the best way to go. That way, when you're young and healthy, you can pay into an MSA and have super cheap basic medical insurance. As you add to your family, you can increase the coverage, but your MSA carries over year after year. Not only is it tax deductible, there's that wonderful thing called compound Interest.
I was in my 30s before I ever had health insurance. My parents were poor and we didn't have any insurance. We had the local doctor and we only went if we were on fire, broken, or bleeding.
Something I want the younger generations on here to understand -- this whole Health Insurance thing is the result of massive propaganda, heinous acts by Big Pharma, and collusion between corrupt congress and the medical fields. Health insurance was a luxury. You never saw conversations about it on the news. You'd hear of someone in the hospital, but the hospital didn't charge them 10 years worth of salary to stay for a day and a half.
I know times are different blah blah blah, but a lot of this is an agenda. A lot of this discussion is about making Big Pharma richer. That's why they fight all the alternative medicine. People forget that at the turn of the 20th century, it was Medical doctors who were called quacks and snake oil sales men, and it was common sense medicine like "go to bed, drink more fluids, have some chicken soup, put that in a splint, get some fresh air" that was more respected.
I'm not saying there aren't great advances in medicine and wonderful doctors and nurses who have tremendous knowledge. I'm just saying to take a step back from the brainwashing about how we need to spend precious tax dollars and precious after tax dollars on medicare for all.
Just take an afternoon and go visit your local VA hospital. THAT IS GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTHCARE, and I'm telling you, when we all decide THAT is what we want, they really do have carte blanche to start knocking us off. Death panels? Not a stretch if every hospital and medical facility resembles a VA hospital.
