Grow whatever the Fuck you want. It's your garden.

[–] angelCole 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Yeah and keep your(AOC) hands out of mine.

I think in occasional cortex's world, all gardens [and the only gardens] are "community" gardens

(poor folk taking handouts [she's addressing demoncrats] don't have land)

The problem here , as I see it is that AOC and the Cauliflower have far too much in common and AOC is trying to express her jealousy of the Cauliflower by simply calling it out as a racist simply because it has a higher IQ than she does.

I say to her #Ibelievethecauliflower!

Thank you!

Perfect explanation and makes sense!

She probably thinks you can grow burritos.

[–] lord_nougat 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Wel duh, you just plant burrito seeds and then all the poor are fed for free!

[–] Ziggyspeaks 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Your reply ACTUALLY made me laugh out loud! Thanks for that!!!!

[–] MudPuddlePie 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Ahahahhaaaaa.....aahahahahaa....that was out loud. Thx :)

[–] Ziggyspeaks 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

WHAT ARE YOU SAYING???? You can't grow Burritos? OMG! I'm devastated!

[–] RSTUV 0 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago  (edited ago)

She picked Cauliflower because it is white and that is how simplistic her thinking is.

Also Yucca is starchy and not terribly good for you, though when you are starving because you're too sick to stand in the bread lines....

"You know, it's funny. Sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is when people are lining up for food. That's a good thing. In other countries, people don't line up for food. The rich get the food and the poor starve to death."

Feel the Bern...

Hah i 100% would bet she has no idea it comes in "colors".

I think she means it was brought here by Europeans vs what was native here. It was domesticated in Cyprus and plant relatives are native to North Africa as well so she really needs to get a clue.

A woman amazed at garbage disposals and that plants can grow from dirt should spend more time learning before making policies and laws for the rest of us.

Her ignorance is stunning as is her foolishness making sure we have no doubt that a fool she is...

[–] squataclops 0 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago

I doubt she knows what she means most of the time

[–] Calculations 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

Why would you want to grow yucca? It's a shit crop that makes worse fabric than stuff we already have?

Why grow sorgum when wheat is has a better yield more nutritional value? So that way morons can feel good about their made up oppressions?

[–] CovfefeFan [S] 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

I just started my first garden. I have radishes and squash is almost ready. I've got beens, watermelon, cantaloupe, carrots, and a few other plants that have grown but nothing eatable yet. It's really awesome growing things from seeds.

The plants you mention, Yucca and sorgum, I don't know about.

I don't think I will grow wheat. I think I need more space and equipment for that. I'm not a farmer, just built a little greenhouse.

Thanks for your input.

[–] frankenglock 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Wheat is really easy to grow, and can be harvested easily with a machete or corn knife if you only have a small patch of it.

You grow it in a patch, or a wide row, since it grows like and looks like grass until it gets about 12-18" high, then the stalks with the wheat berries start to stick out. Cut it carefully near the base, and beat the wheat head with a plastic wiffle ball bat over a tarp to release the wheat berries and capture them all.

You'd be surprised how much you can get from a small patch. Best pancakes and bread I ever tasted came from the "feed wheat" seeds I planted one year.

Another trick- plant wheat in a planter, get sprouts and eat them as is, or let them grow 3-4 inches and trim them (like grass). Take the trimmings and add to your favorite smoothie- but it will make it taste like lawn grass- to get the most vitamins from it. The wheat will continue to grow as long as you trim it.

Does that bitch ever make sense? I thought a core component of the green new deal had to do with the environment, not culture.

[–] lord_nougat 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago  (edited ago)

She probably sounds much less nonsensical with a plastic bag duct-taped over hear head.

That is one Hypothesis that I believe should be tested in the field! Perhaps she will agree to a field test of your hypothesis???
