Agreed, baby isn't 4 months, 6 to 8 depending on the baby's development as an individual. I think the picture itself isn't even the weirdest aspect of the story that is being told. I mean, in vitro isn't easy on a couple in a variety of ways, and the risks and chances for success (in 1998) generally take a toll. It's expensive and a considerable emotional and physical investment that assumes parents are deeply committed to having that child. It beggars the question why considering all that, and Mike's heart wrenching story of the miscarriage(s) prior, and the struggle to have the child, if they could afford in vitro could they not afford her to be with the child more than 4 months? After all that, four months after all the effort, emotional distress, and overcoming the odds to have that healthy birth, fuck it I'm gonna cart this kid to an interview for a job so I can leave her that quickly? As if there was no one to leave her with? You can afford to do the procedure, obviously line up a nanny to leave your 4 month old with if you get the job, but you can't get a babysitter for a fucking interview? Like she's some single mother that got knocked up and left by a guy and has no choice but to bring her baby to interview. It's all horseshit that nobody ever questions and people that peddle that kind of shit are so expediently sleazy they aren't doing in vitro if they can just rent a kid from their friends. The smell test is putrid.
