Amazon treats its workforce very poorly. Sure they have jobs, but having to resort to pissing in bottles because they don't get bathroom breaks is not indicative of a good job. Even the professional (non-warehouse) jobs are bad. The IT people I have known who worked for Amazon hated it. The work environment was hostile, managers were like wardens and the hours were longer than the pay was reasonable. And for tax revenue, do you really think Amazon is paying taxes? They work out sweetheart deals for bad jobs in exchange for tax incentives and then burden the local economy while adding little to it. Look into how Amazon runs in other cities and why those cities grow to regret their deals. They make Walmart look like model employers.
Amazon is enabled by cheap money (federal reserve manipulation of lending rates), and government corruption, with smaller government Amazon would have to play fair. Their advantages are purely governemnt enabled.

Why do you think so?
Amazon brings in jobs. Sure call center shot ones and a crappy draconian management but jobs, taxe revenue and property value increase.
