I always interpreted the fact that there wasn't a bigger deal made about SPYING ON THE SENATE(!) to mean that the order to do so came from someone far more powerful than Brennan. In a proper constitutional republic, that event should have ignited public hearings, investigations and a public debate over the role and power of the CIA and intel agencies in general.
My interpretation of the non-event was always that the order came from Hussein and that's why they were able to keep it quiet.

Although fury flooded Capitol Hill in the immediate aftermath of the dispute, the incident seemed to have largely faded from memory, despite its enormous potential implications on the constitutional balance of powers.
This is what I think about all this: The main fact to promote is that these people have been running a Stasi-like police state, by spying on Americans. This is what happens in a police state, and it is the Dems and their leftie allies who have been doing it. Draw the line there. Spying vs. Freedom. They behave like the commies they are: The end justifies the means, which is a totally amoral orientation. America is not like this, or, should not be.
