ROD ROSENSTEIN IS LEAVING THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein plans to leave the Justice Department in mid-March, agency officials told news outlets Monday.
A Justice Department official said that Rosenstein’s departure is not related to a controversy surrounding his alleged offer to wear a wire during conversations with President Donald Trump, according to CNN. Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe claimed in an interview that aired Sunday that Rosenstein broached the idea of wearing a wire to the White House in May 2017, days after James Comey was fired as FBI director.
McCabe also claimed that Rosenstein suggested using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. Rosenstein has disputed McCabe’s claims, saying that he was being sarcastic about wearing a wire. (RELATED: Andrew McCabe: Rod Rosenstein Was ‘Absolutely Serious’ About Wearing A Wire)
Rosenstein was reportedly planning to leave the Justice Department soon after William Barr’s confirmation as attorney general. Barr was confirmed by the Senate on Feb. 14.

Rosenstein planned to remain in office to ensure a smooth transition from Matthew Whitaker, the former acting attorney general, to Barr.
According to CNN, the Justice Department could announce a replacement for Rosenstein as soon as this week.
Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller special counsel on May 17, 2017, around a week after Comey’s firing. He oversaw the probe because former Attorney General Jeff Sessions had recused himself from Russia-related matters.

The question, which we all know the answer to, is:
"did he jump, or WAS HE PUSHED?

Nothing..... is going to happen to him. Why wait for arrests when we outright watch them walk free?
[–] Zadim 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
For all the laws he has broken and damage he has done, it's very odd he can just leave and likely become a cnn commentator. No criminal charges??

Maybe that’s why he’s announcing his leaving to disguise the fact he’s going to be indicted. Similar to No Name announcing he was going off his “cancer” meds the day before he was executed.

But with Roger Stone, they responded like it were Waco. These are the worst criminals in our history but they can ease out gracefully while Joe Q Public gets a no-knock, flashbang and a dead Pomeranian on the rug at 4:30 AM.
I know he can't be arrested in public because of optics or something else.

Let this be the plan!

In handcuffs?

No he is not getting arrested, you see the real tactic is that we let these people stay free for the rest of their lives but we own them with youtube compilation videos. Just lay back, have a beer and trust the plan.

I thought Youtube compliation videos were declared cruel and unusual punishment under the Geneva Convention.

"Mid March"? Oh, you mean, like, maybe 3/15? Follow the watch,3:15? Tic toc

With all due respect, I disagree with commenters here. I believe Rosenstein was working for Trump, flipped or turned or part of the plan originally. If so, he deserved a medal for good acting.

Everyone eventually works for trump... It's just a matter of how long they resist.

I tend to agree ... what makes a good movie? Good acting.

There was something he said at the Congressional hearing that sealed it for me. It was along the lines of "No one is working harder to restore (or maybe it was protect?) the reputation of the Department than I am." That's very much paraphrased, but it was the way he said it that made me think he was working with the White Hats. Just a middle aged Mom who identifies as a middle aged mom's intuition.

Also when Jordan was questioning him about signing the last of the four FISAs to surveil members of the Trump campaign. Rosenstein replied, "I dispute your characterization of the FISA."

Truther words were never spoken...
He is nominated for an oscar best supporting actor in a drama, but it’ll probably go to Jussie Smollett.

That’s quite an inteesting observation. Perhaps McCabe’s wire accusation is his way of warning others that he wore a wire with him and others were surely recorded too.

Q said in #2118, If [RR] is dirty, Mueller must also be dirty. if Mueller is dirty, [RR] must also be dirty. Q
Q also said that Mueller was working to redeem himself. Not sure the exact words. It probably has to do with getting some leinancy by playing a part in the movie. I would assume that it would be the same for Rosenstein. Just some thoughts.
