A book was written - Beyond Belief: The Moors Murders.
Myra Hindley and Ian Brady committed some utterly unpardonable crimes. They echo down the decades and are horrifying to behold, even today. Hold your nerve if you choose to research these events.
They tape-recorded the screams of the children they tortured to death.
The tapes were played in Court. Brady confessed that he enjoyed the sound "because it was unusual".
Both are now dead, having been placed in maximum security for some fifty years. Neither of them recanted or showed real remorse for their exceptionally heinous crimes.

I appreciate the warning. Whenever I delve into child crimes I prep myself mentally and focus on the purpose of being more informed and sharing intel. It is a hole that we should not have to dig into. Yet, here we are.
Were/are they connected to any rings or power brokers? Did they get protected or the cases censored?

My view is that no, they were not connected to anyone. We shall never know what motivated the Moors Murderers to carry out their crimes.
There has never been any suggestion of a link. This is, in a way, what makes it so hard to comprehend. A young couple drive around in their car in the mid-60s, picking up kids.
They take them home and destroy them. Why?
We'll never know. Hindley died of ill-health in 2002. Brady, on "hunger strike" for years, expired in '17.
Police are still searching for their victims - albeit with diminishing appetite - and may never find the remains of the Moors Murderers' child victims, buried on Saddleworth Moor, England.
