I would also make note of this:
Impeachment is not conviction. The House brings impeachment charges against an official (and this is a process). Then the House votes whether to take the charges to the Senate. The Senate Chambers act as the courtroom. For POTUS the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court acts as Judge and the Sente acts as jury. Lawyers and or lawmakers from the House act as the prosecution.
Conviction occurs when 2/3’s of the Senate vote for conviction based on the charges brought. If convicted the POTUS is removed from office.
Also: no criminal charges apply to this conviction. The entire proceeding is a political process established in the US Constitution and has never successfully removed a POTUS from office.
Senate vote is the key.
Seems that many assume impeachment has the same meaning as conviction.
You are right! And the constant misuse of terms drives me crazy! Imbeciles, such as Maxine Waters, have no real knowledge of our government, of our Constitution. Prime example of impeachment: Bill Clinton was impeached. He was not convicted. Therefore, he stayed in office.
I do wonder, however, if the mere act tax-payer funded impeachment wouldn't be enough to finally send us into a revolt. The same way with all of the crap they are planning to pull, investigations up the wazoo, etc. They are planning to essentially shut down the government and do absolutely nothing for us. They are planning to wear us down with endless nonsense. That, just might trigger a revolt.
And you are right...”the constant misuse of terms” by the MSM - Enemy of the People -is the only way to keep the brainwashed addicted to their fix of fake news

Clinton was impeached by the House and not the Senate. He continued to serve.

He was impeached but not punished. Think indicted but acquitted.

Serve? Who = Himself and the bitch he is married too?

And who now controls the senate? And therefore can pretty much knock down or approve any impeachment proceedings?
