They did not seize his bitcoin even though thats how they worded it. In order to seize something you have to take it and if they took it then he had to give them the private key to access it which then is permission. you can not just take bitcoin unless you get access to the private key of the wallet it holds. the articles writtin on that our false when the\y say seized bc he had to knowingly give them the key to do so. most likely was needed to pay fines and all the things legaly and they said they would accept the btc as payment. the ropes they had to go through for that when if he has a bank account it would have been instant for them and zero hassle but just a slip of paper to the bank. try again

if he would have just kept his mouth shut then those btc would still remain in his wallet but he knew it would depict his sentencing and he was in debt legally so pretty much was the only way not to i my self wouldnt have gave them up and gave the key to someone else to spread the wealth and make it impossible for them to get the money to everyone it was sent to and all those small transactions to thousands of random people
