We won't know all of the results until tomorrow (or later, with mail-in and provisional ballots). Remember, the enemy of the people are desperately trying to spin and manipulate and other subtle forms of election interference, as usual. Have a few beers with the popcorn and chill. Also, remember 2016. It didn't look good for POTUS early on, and well, we know how that turned out.
If the D's do take the house, all is not lost. POTUS will just have to change tactics. He's not going to just roll over, and we shouldn't either. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

Its going to be close. Either way keeping the Senate is huge. Maybe after declass comes some will be shown the door. Who knows. House will move to impeach no doubt unless declass fries them.

declass should have already came. We wouldn't even be having this conversation if people knew the truth already.

Agreed. It's way past time.

Agreed 100%. Bad strategy to take the risk of not declassifying.

This is my frustration. RR has been allowed to sit on the FISA. I wish I understood that part of the plan better. There would be no need to even hold the elections if people even glimpsed what has been going on.

I agree. It was supposed to happen before the elections.

Nancy Pelosi becoming House Speaker is a big problem. Ideally she'd have lost so that the problems she is about to face don't appear to be partisan.
Luckily there is enough evidence to divulge to the public at this point that they will understand and agree with her fate.
Unfortunately getting that information out will be more difficult than if she were not house speaker.

Forgive me if this seems flippant but how does someone who commonly struggles to barely form a coherent sentence manage to attain status of ‘speaker of the House’?
[–] 1ARights 0 points 7 points 7 points (+7|-0) ago
POTUS can still declassify whatever he wants. They want to impeach, having FISA in his back pocket gives him all the leverage he needs.

I have to believe that, regardless of being elected, maybe especially so, that she and others will forfeit, since GITMO doesn't need a house speaker.

Look up Boehner's time as speaker. Power removed.

Declass brings down the house, then appoint new reps after indictments are revealed and swamp is drained?
[–] OptimusPrime4 1 point 3 points 4 points (+4|-1) ago
Maybe this is why POTUS spent so much effort campaigning for governors who could replace incarcerated reps.

We were pretty much always projected to keep the Senate. Any dem who was honest was worried that they were gonna lose more than Republicans because they were risking 23 seats versus Republicans who only risked 9. The real battle was always in the house, because that was where we were going to find out if the country actually overwhelmingly supported trump, or the dems.
What we are seeing is dem support only because they felt more of a need to vote because of trump. But it isnt all bad, because all the moderates dems are the ones who are winning versus the extreme leftist, who are generally doing extremely poorly.

Then what was red wave supposed to be about? With all the #walkaway people I just dont see how these results are the way they are. Kind of disappointed to be honest.
[–] slwsnowman40 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
Yes, but the dems always vote as a bloc. So it doesn't matter if they run as moderates or not.
