Taken from QRV sub:

I think there's more to it than meets the eye. Doing this amplified Israel as an already huge target in the Muslim world. Also the embassy was suppose to cost around $1 billion and Trump got it down to $150k. If America ever breaks from Israel and they have to defend themselves I don't think they'll make it.

Maybe this is why Trump asked Netanyahu if Israel was really interested in peace.

They've been outmanned and outgunned in every battle they have had to fight since they were re-established as a nation after their 2,000 years of exile.

Defending Israel isn't our job, it's Someone Else's job (hint: starts with Yeshua). He is in control of all world events and has always used evil people to accomplish his purposes (think Rothschilds) as well as "good" people (well, actually none of us are good in and of ourselves). All things (even things we would consider bad) work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purposes.

Although America may provide some kind of support if that's how He plans to handle things.

Actually the bible speaks of an alliance of western and Arab nations jawboning/criticizing the invaders of Israel in the last days, but it does not indicate that they get involved in any material way: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+38&version=NIV At that time, God will be making a point, and he'll be making it alone.
