True, it's bullshit that the left would do this, but they will, we have to utilize force in a careful manner. The benefit to the ray, outside of it being non-lethal, is to an observer it doesn't look like much is happening in the same way firing tear gas or rubber bullets. If, hypothetically, the military deploys this, and it causes some of the protestors to start throwing stones, rocks and other items, visually, any action the military take after, utilization of gas, bean bags, or even live rounds, looks more defensible from an optics stand point.
