So the problem, then, is that we no longer have any old growth forests. Due to logging. Your point then is that, having gotten to this place by clear-cutting, we need to continue doing what we have been doing?

Well, we can't miracle up some oldgrowth. We can watch everything burn year over year for hundreds of years as the forests slowly complete a super-cycle and return to oldgrowth... hint: this will never ever ever happen because people change governments and ideology FAR too quickly to keep a "never log again" mindset for 500 years. Hell, it started in the 80s and is pretty much gone now... Not even CLOSE to long enough. So why suffer the fires? Why live in poverty? It won't work. Depopulation (The Deepstate's plan) then wait hundreds of years is the only way to retur to that... and even if we did it woudl take just a little while and guess what... The rules would change and it would all get cut down. See. Humans cut trees and use them for stuff... simple as that. We should do it in a positive safe sane way that regenerates and is not a fire danger. Simple as thAT.

Too bad. I love those old trees. Have been looking for some forested property and hard to find any with old trees. Have seen old growth stumps actually advertised as a selling point. More than once. Stumps!!! Can’t find a tree but we’ll sell you the stump and you can imagine what the tree might have been like. Very sad.

What you say makes sense. But i hope we never cut down any more old growth.
