I like your visionary stylings... Implementation is usually a bear as people get in their own minds how they want to live and how you place restrictions on them will affect this. People happen to be quite contrarian, and also psychologically project way more than I ever realized.

If I were absolute ruler I'd build a tower like this in the desert: https://st-listas.20minutos.es/images/2011-12/313646/3299816_640px.jpg?1324257940

Each of those rings on the buildings would be stepped to make inner rings and they'd be lined with really nicely faced 3-4 story buildings that are connected together and similar to one another like you see in San Fransisco or Amsterdam. The very centre of the ring would be reserved as a park, sporting grounds, etc. and would be illuminated using fiber optic cables that tunnel through the structure to the outside of the building creating an artificial sun on the inside of sorts.

Electricity can be generated locally but being in the desert water has to be imported and the waste dealt with afterwards. My idea for that is having a treatment plant on the bottom levels of the mega structure and creating an artificial river with it which is then fed around tree plantations and farms before ending up in a wetlands to clean it up before moving on to a naturally formed river. The idea is that while importation of water is fucking horrible to do at least as waste water it would greenify the desert instead of being flushed out into the ocean. The tree plantations would also supply a lot of the building materials for furniture and the building itself if they're planted early enough.

I'd make it a rule that everyone that isn't a professional in their field has to do community service to earn their keep which would basically be helping run the place by cooking, cleaning, farming, etc. which would get them paid enough to get a place to live, food, a few luxuries and whatnot but professionals like doctors who obviously deserve more would get much nicer stuff as there has to be a bare minimum which a person can earn and nearly no limits placed upon their potential. They could get for example double height apartments, more windows, better positions within the building, etc. and I'd let it be known there's always potential to move up for everyone if they work hard enough.

I'd like to build a few of them in each shithole part of the country to try and get the population away from the nicer areas we've fucked over for nature and I'd make them enduring by building them out of concrete mixed with carbon fiber and whatever else is needed to see them last 10,000 years. I'd want the people to give nature back while trying to give her a hand where we can but that would require enough time to forget about the richness of living in the coastal areas, on farms, etc. which would take generations to deal with and hopefully laziness and good times would stop them from trying to go back and fuck it all up again for a few millennia.

I like this. I prefer large families in theory, but that's a minor adjustment. And I say in theory because although I think large families are great in principle, I don't know how well I personally would be able to manage a large family. I think if you didn't have so much multimedia, more time would be spent bonding and small units of siblings would go about their activities like friends, so it wouldn't always be a giant gaggle of kids all together in one place.

I'm an only child and not very close to my extended family (other than my Dad's parents), so it'd be a real adjustment for me.

That said, I do think it's a superior model in many ways. Though I won't be able to test it any time soon unless I can reproduce rapidly with myself.
