It's amazing how much things change just forty miles north of Fort Collins, Colorado. Cheyenne is the largest city in Wyoming and the state capitol. About 60,000 people live here.
I've been here for a couple days and I don't think I've met one rude person. Even in this hotel the janitors are extremely friendly and kind. There seem to be very few restrictions in town (noise laws, smoking), but even on a Friday night fairly few people smoked. I did see one person toss a cigarette butt right on the ground but maybe he was from out of town, I'm not sure. Even a couple of hobos I met were extremely polite and grateful. Very few homeless here in general. There's a coworking space. A Natural Grocer's. Has just about any kind of store you could want and the economy seems to be doing well.
It is very windy which I dislike. But the people are the most friendly I've found anywhere.
I'm finding myself not too comfortable traveling by motorcycle so I'm not sure if I should turn back or proceed. I guess part of my dilemma is also that I like Cheyenne so much I'm not sure it'd be much better anywhere else in Wyoming.
Just a very unique atmosphere. It's not the Bible Belt yet there are almost no liberals. Maybe this has something to do with it and maybe not, but the area is more white than just about any place I've seen.
I don't mind Laramie but I don't like it as much as Cheyenne. Cheyenne is not a college town.
Last night there was a music event and even the mayor was there dancing (at least, from what I heard, I could not see). I looked her up after and found out she's about cutting down regulations, invited Uber to Cheyenne, trying to increase broadband competition.
This is one city center I'd be quite happy being near.
If you're curious about the motorcycling side of the trip I have a thread on ADVRider: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/exploring-wyoming-on-a-honda-hawk-gt.1239874/

I think it'd be interesting to do that and it might have some successes.
That said, as for my own land purchases for the project I'll rent to those I like. I'm generally a bit more suspicious of blacks and Jews but I don't see why there can't be good Jews and good blacks, just as there can be bad whites.
Now I'm not going to like a Jew pushing for banking or a black guy that goes around robbing everyone. But I also won't like a white person cucking himself out. I hope other people will buy land adjacent and they can have their own set of beliefs and rules as they see fit.
What do you think, would a purely ethnically European village be best?
