Isn't that useless as any kind of evidence against him in court?
EDIT: I mean, it's just a conversation piece recorded without consent that likely has zero relevance to Gawker in general. I've not heard this recording though, I don't know/care of its context.

It was in the sex tape that Gawker published. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if that was the "real" reason they leaked the tape.
