Neat, now lets teach it to code in brainfuck.

So they made an AI that builds templated programs from bits and pieces of StackOverflow posts? Sounds like your average human junior to mid-level programmer to me. How is this a good thing?

For now, it is only capable of handling short (~ 5 line) programs where the input/output are tightly specifed - such as in competitions.

But for the medium to longer term, this is not a good thing for those copy pasta programmers.

New Scientist pushes the ususual bullshit propaganda just wrapped up in science articles. Try and read the news section, every week its nearly 50% global warming mental yoga from scientists funded by the climate change cash mountain. New Scientist should be renamed "Pile of dog cocks weekly prapaganda science-flavour turd wipe magazine"

Good luck debugging that.

Imagine trying to figure out a bug in a jenga tower program pasted together with arbitrary code scraps by an AI with no regard for anything but with these inputs will the function output what I expect. Even a junior level programmer will at least think like a human.
