This community is dedicated to saving money.
Rule 1:
Be nice.
If you can't say something nice here, don't say it at all.
If you must let someone know how stupid they are, use the private message function.
Do not bring drama here.
Exceptional public rudeness will be met with bans, without warning.
Rule 2:
No scams, no spam, and no referral links.
If you are unsure if something is a scam it probably is.
If it offers free anything but requires a credit card it is a scam.
If you need help deciding if it is a scam, feel free to PM me.
Also no referral links or other such spam.
Rule 3:
No Trolling
Instant ban for trolling.
Guideline:
Focus on high quality posts that will benefit others.
On reddit.com/r/frugal more often than not, the posts are bragging about what they found on craigslist or a thrift store.
This isn't a tip or a strategy that can help others save money, it's just bragging and taking up space.
This isn't a rule, just a guideline.
Asking questions, or for guidance is perfectly acceptable and expected.

That shit is horrible for you. You can buy a 20lb sack of rice for under ten bucks and doctor that.

On the note of buying better ramen, Indomie (Mi Goreng Rendang flavor) and Nong Shim (Shin Ramyun Black) are both FAR superior to Maruchan or Top.
[–] Sragwaven ago
Most packaged ramens that aren't made in the US I've tried are better than Maruchan and Top. I mean, even Mama is better than Top.

Iv'e never even heard of that one. Is it worth trying, or just more worth trying than Top?

Holy shit this is legit!!!!
I used to live 10 min from a major Nissen Cup Ramen plant :-)
Shit is bad for you but so is MacDonalds.
I know many many Japanese guys who live on this shit and we all know how skinny they are so you won't die but ... Yeah the salt :-(

Noice.
[–] geosprintforever ago
But why all the salt?....damn......not good for the blood pressure. What I need are recipes for ramen and ramen like foods that are healthy.

Adding fresh green onions is so easy and makes it significantly better in my opinion.

That Maruchan Chili ramen is the motherfuckin' shit. It is salty as hell though.
That Nong Shim stuff: Years ago, I worked at a freight forwarder, and a shipment of their products came through. It sat in our warehouse for months, because we couldn't send it to it's destination before it was inspected by the government due to irradiated materials. If I recall, it ended up having to be destroyed.

I wish I had this in college, it would have been a great poster for the kitchen
