Lets get rid of Flash, which is non-free, proprietary software.

For those interested in this cause, the BBC's position at the moment (Flash is required for many of their videos and iPlayer) is favourable.

The head of BBC technology wants to be rid of Flash, however there are currently a large number of visitors with old / low power devices, and the BBC does not wish to lose them. HTML5 for videos currently requires higher powered devices to work well.

We can be glad that the BBC is also holding out for mandatory support for free codecs in web standards, and when that is resolved, all things good will be enabled on their website.
