side thought i'll say in this place too, what the fuck should i even be calling my art style for this game?

if i go by TV trope standards i guess i've been building something with a little bit of dungeon-punk, some bio-punk, and a lot of magitek. but then, there's stuff that involves way too much natural/biological material and starts leaning toward caveman aesthetic

runepunk? paganpunk?

biopunk-magitek maybe is the most accurate, but "runepunk" sounds amazing

I always thought your art style was reminiscent of late 1990's and early 2000's video games. Remember how I said it reminded me of the Playstation 1 game LSD? I personally think you should stay with that artstyle, but that's just me as I am a huge fan of those kinds of graphics and why I still play the original Half-Life to this day

i've definitely tried to go after the low-poly everything-hovers look. there's some really funky stuff i've been pulling off lately with advanced textures.

i was able to turn a flat surface into HR geiger blackflesh with a matching texture + a height map + an oily black liquid secondary texture. i've been able to texture meat that looks pretty real and really bloody and wet.

kinda unsettling but whatever lol

EDIT: HR gieger blackflesh. if i can rig this texture to breath, it might be the creepiest thing in my bestiary right now, kek
