When I graduated HS in 2006, I hadn't really kept contact with a lot of people. The only ones I really did were close friends, and the rest were just added on Myspace/Facebook. I dropped off the map for a couple years, college/self discovery/work/etc. I reactivated my Facebook sometime back where I re-added old classmates. Among them was a woman who we had flirted on and off during high school and after. However I never let it go further than that since I was in a serious relationship at the time. We started catching up, no awkwardness, almost like we used to talk before. Time went on, she told me about the child she has, relationships etc. So as we talked more and more, it became more intimate, that old tension coming up again. We talked about meeting up, but given the distance of several hours, it was a hard thing to do given our schedules.
As we finally started to hash things out, I started checking out her Facebook. I know, it's strange not doing so before, but her personality was exactly the same so I didn't bother. That was when I noticed an anomaly: she had no recent pictures. Now I am not the kind to take selfies or post up new pictures often, but her pictures were before and during her pregnancy, but none after. All she had was just pictures of her child, like most parents do, but nothing of her with him. Now if her child was only 6 months or even just a year old, okay, I can see that. But her child is almost 4 now and still no pictures with him or just of her.
About a week before meeting up I brought this up to her, jokingly, asking why she didn't have any pictures of her with her son. She told me she was camera shy (which is true, she always has been), but 4 years without any pictures is a LONG time. I brought it up in another way, saying it had been several years, so I wanted to have a picture to confirm her. Again, she laughed it off by saying "I look like me!" By this time, I was really beginning to wonder.
Fast forward a week to when I'm meeting her. No pictures were ever sent, so here is what I am looking for:
Long red hair, porcelain skin, 5'4" (162.56 cm), 110 to 120 lbs (8.21 stones). This was the woman I last saw. She was stunning.
So I got there early, checking out places in the mall, and I receive a text. She says she sees me, but there was no sign of her. Now because she was short, I figured she was hidden behind someone. I was excited, and so actually stood on top of the planter in the middle to see if I could see her, but still nothing. She texted me again, saying she sees me, and to look behind. I know I had a huge smile because I felt it drop off my face moments later.
I was not met with the woman I'd been expecting. I wasn't even met with her shadow. Instead I got:
Chopped off hair to above her ears, a bad dye job of some kind of faded purple/blue greasy hair, and at LEAST 230 to 250 lbs (15.71 stones), acne ridden, with clothes hugging EVERY single roll.
I was in shock. I expected because she didn't want to send any pictures, maybe she had gained 10, or even 20 pounds. But I never imagined this. As dramatic as it might sound, time slowed down. My entire image of her was just gone, fucking shattered. So much so I said outloud "what the fuck?"
Her response? "Hey you! You look like a deer in headlights! That happy to see me? C'mere!"
I was still standing on top of the planter when she came in for a hug. I got down, but instead of returning it, I just shouldered into it. She asked me what was wrong, a shit eating grin on her face. She said sorry for being late, she was trying to rush, couldn't pick an outfit, something, something. Watching her talk the only thing I could see was Boss Nass from Star Wars.
About 20 minutes later she asked if we could go sit since she "ran" here. I hadn't said much, and was keeping an arm's length between us. Mind you, that wasn't me being a shitlord, it was just a wtf feeling running through me. Naturally she lead us to McBeetus, no joke. There were chairs everywhere, but she wanted to go there just to "sit". I go to sit down, and she says "I'll grab us something, I'm pretty hungry after all that running teehee. Do you want anything?" I just got a water. She said I should eat something since I would "need the energy later" and a shiver went down my spine. Not the shiver that goes straight to the groin, the one that goes straight to your stomach.
I didn't stay in line with her, didn't even look in her direction. The one time I did she gave this a wave while trying to be cute, but I responded with nothing more than a head nod. When she finally came back, she had this receipt in her hand. She handed me a HUGE drink, I don't know the size since I haven't been to McBeetus in 3 years, but it was over the top.
I took a sip and gave enough of a reaction for her to notice, and rightfully so since it was coke instead of water.
"Thought I'd buy you a drink". She said with a grin, looking so proud of herself for that.
"I don't drink soda." I replied, which I don't, and I haven't for a long time.
"Come on, everyone drink soda! Need something refreshing since it's so hot."
Yes, it was warm outside, but we were in the mall. And the mall is cool, actually cold sometimes. I just pushed it aside and told her no thanks, and that she could have it. She gave some dumb hmph to try and be playful, but I wasn't having it.
But it gets better, as they called out a number, and she suddenly gets up. She goes over to grab a tray, supersized everything: fries, burgers (not just one), and chicken nuggets. She saw my reaction, and replied, "like I said, gotta keep that energy up". I just sat back while she gobbled away, listening to her rant on about her life.
Fast forward about an hour later, she keeps wanting to sit, trying to play footsy, telling me to slow down and "stop running" when we do walk. Finally when we do sit down, she's fanning herself off with her hand. I hardly said anything, in fact I barely looked at her. She had taken notice and asked:
"Is something wrong? You've been so quiet. Are you not feeling well?"
"You lied to me." I was blunt. I'm in the medical field, I don't sugar coat things, as much as our hospital tells us to and patients want it.
"What're you talking about?" Honest surprise crossed her face.
"You said you looked the same. You don't. At all. What the hell?"
"Oh come on, I do too silly! Sure, I gained some baby weight, but it takes awhile to get off you know. Plus it's hard when you're a parent, but you wouldn't understand that. I'm still the same old cute me." She did some stupid pose similar to this, but again, I wasn't having it.
"No, you don't. I didn't even recognize you, I don't recognize you." By this time I had cut the crap. All my frustration was coming to a head.
"Well excuse me. People change after high school you know. It's natural. And I have no time*."
- On that note, this was another lie she had told. But this wasn’t just to me, but it’s on her Facebook as well. Her job she says is in sales, from what she says you’d assume she’s a realtor. It turned out, after she confessed, that she works a desk job doing telemarketing. And her idea of full time is 20 hours a week.
"Why're you being so mean? You begged to see me." She drove 2 1/2 hours, I drove 20 minutes. Last I checked, beggars do all the driving.
"I don't like being lied to, which is what you did."
By this time I'd gotten up, because I was fed up. She got up, taking some struggling seconds, and rushed at me. She grabbed by arm, and pushed every single fold into me.
"Don't go. I have missed you so much! Come on babe. Let me show you how much."
Luckily with her shortness and girth she couldn't reach up to me. I'm not overly tall. I'm 6'0", but that was enough to avoid her. She practically fell over as I backed up.
By this time, she was crying. She was yelling "why're you such an asshole?!" And of course drawing attention. Some people came over to her, but I just kept walking. I was done.
It was about 10 minutes later asking where I was, that she was sorry for yelling. She said she meant every word of it of making it up to me, putting it in explicit detail. I replied back that I don't associate with liars, and I would be lying by staying around her since I don't find her attractive at all. It was met with a barrage of angry texts that went on for several minutes. I simply replied "you're as disgusting inside as you are outside". I blocked her after that, both number and facebook.
So that there fellow shitlords was how I spent my Friday.
tl;dr - A high school temptress became a lying tonbeast, and I wasn't having any of it.
