A number of people at the Borderline restaurant in California where a gunman opened fire had survived the Las Vegas shooting, a friend claims.
At least 11 people have been injured including one police officer at the popular venue in Thousand Oaks, west of Los Angeles.
The man was dressed in black and shot a security guard before firing upon revellers inside. — https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/us-news/california-shooting-country-fans-inside-13554551
The guy was dressed like Antifa. I’m sure no motive will be found in this incident too.
Edit: Here's a description of Long, who was a Marine from 2008 to 2013 and spent time in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011:
Tim Tanner, who lives on the corner three houses away, said Long kept to himself.
“I’ve seen him a couple of times,” he said. Long was distinctive because of his bright red pickup truck, which was still in the driveway Wednesday.
He was a “quiet, normal guy, kept to himself.”
That characterization stands in contrast to a depiction by a former roommate of Long's who described him as a "weird" loner who could be aggressively anti-social.
“He was kind of weird, he always locked himself in his room, he was always by himself,” Blake Winnett, 35, told the New York Post. “I didn’t really know him very well.”
He should have. Winnett and Long lived together on two occasions in 2012 and 2014, while Long was attending college in nearby Northridge. But Long apparently was purposefully standoffish. -- https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2018/11/08/ian-long-gunman-thousand-oaks-california-borderline-bar-grill/1928231002/
Edit 2: PTSD seems unlikely.
A third friend who does not want to be publicly identified said Long stopped communicating two years ago but said the shooting was unlike him.
"He wasn't unhinged, he wasn't violent. He was a sweet guy who served his country and was using his GI Bill to go to college and get a degree to help more people," the friend said. "Out of our group of friends I thought the highest of him. This is just horrible and I'm so sorry for the victims and his family." -- https://fox5sandiego.com/2018/11/08/marine-veteran-idd-as-gunman-in-california-college-night-bar-massacre/
