Clickbait title of the news-article. The original research is on metabolic rates, not on laziness. Furthermore, if at some point in time evolution favored laziness, then at that point it would still be survival of the fittest, it's just that in those environments laziness increases chances of survival. Finally, forming any conclusions on the relation between metabolic rate and extinction probability, is extremely difficult without taking the environment into account. I'd sooner conclude that evolution favored low metabolic rates in past environments, than to conclude in general that evolution favors low metabolic rates.

Stressed environments favor low metabolic rates.

Put a snake and a rat in a room and come back a week later, the snake will be annoyed. Put a cat and a rat in a room and come back a week later to a dead cat. Low metabolism favors low food environments. There's a nigger reference here I just can't find it

Evolution is fake. Explain how a bee hive or ant colony could evolve

Explain how Noah got 20000 species of bees and 12000 species of ants on the ark.
