Yea, but UK law and citizens arrest is a lot different then American laws regarding citizens arrest.

The law is found under section 24A of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE).Source

But I have read that the UK police do tend to arrest those that have done citizens arrest. Say that the suspect was not a threat to the individual and so they where basically not allowed to perform citizens arrest.
