Well there is a loop hole. IT can be ordered by court of law. Which would probably be a pain in the ass to acquire and expensive. But it also bans people in correctional facilities. Yet again, these are people you want to be sterilized.

Was reading this document on their website to see if Medicaid (medical help for the poor) covered sterilization. According to it, you have to be at least 21 years old and cant be mentally ill. What? Those are the people you want sterilized. They seriously need to update this crap.

Progress is not made through genes. Genes are merely a side-effect of experience and foundation. If you focus in on them you are already one step behind.

This sub is harmful and pointless in my opinion. You're attempting to reduce humanity to a nucleic acid and that will just never be a proper way to see a person. Re-watch the movie GATACA and perhaps learn something.

That made no logical sense. People on the internet will never cease to amaze me.

You think it makes logical sense that people are simply their DNA? We have DNA in us of course. I studied biology and microbiology. I got to the point of replicating DNA vectors using RNA primers and then inserting them into yeast in order to make them glow in the dark.

I understand what DNA is but DNA isn't a person. A person is made of DNA and SO MUCH MORE. When you focus simply on components and not the whole you lose meaning.

Edit: If you've ever studied language ... the concept is very similar to Chinese characters. A single Chinese character can have a lot of meaning and symbolism beyond a mere word. Then you string things together and you have more detail but you actually lose some of the original meaning of the Chinese Character. Now this example is in reverse (adding instead of reducing) but you get the point.

Best option is to just create a bill that changes the outlines of this program to be more inclusive, because these are the people who need access to it the most.
