There are also ones for one way (Einweg) bottles. The bottles get pressed at the back of the machine. You get 25cent per bottle back. Lots of elderly people in Germany collect these bottles from dumpsters to survive because they get not much money from the state.

I have a hi-tech German shower. Not the gas kind. It's one of the best purchases I ever made.

It's a shame they started making VW's at least American imported VW's in Mexico though.

So whats so fancy about your shower?

Well first things first it has a detachable shower head which you can pull and move around your entire body. It's such a simple concept but drastically improves the quality of your shower.

There are two sets of spraying jets one aimed at around your lower torso and the other one one's knees assuming a standing 6'3 individual. I find it useful for washing my back.

There is a heated shower bench with temperature control which is really great for those days when you just feel like shit and really maximizes the therapeutic effects of the shower.

All of the heads have volume and temperature control as well a saved preset option. As in there are 3 control panels. 1 for the hand-held head, and one for each jet set.

I don't know what the difference with the drain is exactly but the cover of it was replaced and my girlfriend's hair no longer clogs up the cover.

A very minor detail are the multiple places to simply set things down. There was also an option to have the shower come with speakers and have it connect to Bluetooth but I turned that down because I felt like the extra cost wasn't worth it.

I'm not someone who demands the highest level of engineering or luxury when it comes to anything besides my car, but I can say with 100% certainty that showering went from a daily chore to an enjoyable and therapeutic activity with my new shower. I can just sit in there for up to an hour sometimes like it's a sauna and decompress.
